Type "D"
Cobalt Aircraft Type "D" Jobber Length Drills with screw machine length flute are designed to handle high thrust loads when drilling through high tensile and heat resistant alloy steels. Its heavy web design provides a more rigid tool for accurate holes eliminating vibration and flexing. Ideal for portable drilling.

Screw Machine Length Drills - Cobalt
Cobalt Screw Machine Length Drills were originally developed for screw machine operations where regular length drills were too long. The short length design reduces breakage and runout. They are now used in portable drilling where short, rigid drills are a requirement and are especially suitable for N/C drilling applications. Cobalt composition is used for drilling in tough alloys, stainless steel, titanium inconel and other work hardening metals.

Silver and Deming Drills - Cobalt
Cobalt Silver and Deming Drills are used wherever the maximum chuck capacity is 1/2". For portable or machine drilling in hard steels, stainless steels and other hard materials. The split point is self centering and breaks up chips. Sizes over 1" fractional or 25mm metric are 118° split point. They are also called S&D Drills, Blacksmith Drills or Prentice Drills (Canada). All Silver and Deming Drills are 6" overall length with 3" flute length.

Taper Length Drills - Cobalt
Cobalt Taper Length Drills are drills with increased cutting length. They are manufactured with straight shanks of the same diameter as that of the flute diameter. Taper length drills derive their name from having the same flute length as taper shank drills. In Europe, these drills are known as Long Series Drills or Long Jobber Drills. Cobalt composition is used for drilling in tough alloys, stainless steel, titanium inconel and other work hardening metals.
